UPGRADE OF THE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR THE FETTE P2100 ROTARY TABLET PRESS

The Fette P2020 tablet press, widely used in Vietnam’s pharmaceutical industry and manufactured by Fette Compacting, has been in service for over 15 years. Over time, the machine’s IO control system and B&R APC810 processing computer became outdated, affecting the efficiency and reliability of production processes.

To enhance operational efficiency and ensure product quality, DPTA conducted a thorough evaluation and proposed a comprehensive upgrade. The control computer was replaced with the latest APC910, running on Windows 10, along with the installation of Zenon SCADA software and new B&R IO modules. A newly designed control program and SCADA interface ensure ease of use and improved operational efficiency.

Scope of Supply

    1.    Supply of Inverters, PLCs, and HMIs from B&R

    •    Outdated components were replaced with modern B&R devices, ensuring high performance and reliability.

    2.    System Design, Installation, and Programming

    •    The control system was reprogrammed to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the machine.

    3.    System Commissioning and Handover

    •    DPTA performed thorough system testing to ensure smooth operation before handing the system over to the customer.

    4.    Training for Operators

    •    Comprehensive training sessions were provided to the operating staff, enabling them to fully understand the new features and processes.
